Our Captains

Captain Tony Ireland was racing small sailboats on the Long Island Sound in the 60s, and somehow, after years of professional corporate experience, he found his way back and has been sailing blue water cruisers for the past two decades, including several offshore races, numerous yacht deliveries, and chartered cruises on the Chesapeake and Biscayne Bays, as well as the Caribbean and the Florida Keys. He is a USCG licensed captain, and an ASA certified instructor.

Captain Suzy Acevedo began her time in and on the water as a young lady who became the first female diving instructor in Puerto Rico. She went on to compete in the Central American games as a windsurfer and member of the Puerto Rican Olympic team, and she has been racing sailboats, both dinghies, and yachts, for decades. Suzy has coached a local high school sailing team, competed in countless regattas, and works as a charter captain in the Caribbean and the Chesapeake Bay. She is a USCG licensed captain, and an ASA certified instructor.
