Two charters, one in the morning, and the other in the afternoon, made for a long day, especially with a hungover crew. A very nice couple in the morning and another sweet Spring break family in the afternoon. Winds were from the NW and strong, gusting in the low 20s in the morning, and over 30 in the afternoon, so the jib remained furled all day. With just the main, the morning was a nice run to Thomas Point Light House and back, but the afternoon was so windy I decided it safest to motor up the Severn River with the family from Pennsylvania. Everyone seemed to enjoy, despite the conditions. And then, just as we were exiting Little Round Bay, the wind dropped to the high teens, and we were able to comfortably and safely set sail and enjoy a lovely run the whole length of the river back to Academy.
